France-United Kingdom interconnection

Reduction of exchange capacity between France and England.

On Thursday December 26th, at 09h05, a technical incident occurring on the English side of the France - United Kingdom cross-Channel link (IFA 2000) has led to the reduction of exchange capacity between the two grids.

The available capacity is currently of 1500 MW. With the information available today, the duration of this incident is yet unknown ; the users will be informed directly by fax when the capacity is brought back to the normal value.

Following this incident, NGC and RTE are not proposing the usual values to the daily auctions (419 MW from France to UK and 500 MW from UK to France).
