France-England interconnection: results of the quarterly auctions.

Results of the quarterly auctions organised by RTE and National Grid : 150 MW proposed in the direction France to England, and 150 MW proposed in the direction England to France.

As part of the process for the allocation of 2000 MW of interconnector capacity in the direction France-England and England-France, RTE and National Grid held an auction on 10th March 2009 for Q2 (from 1st April 2009 to 30th June 2009).

Today, 10th March 2009 RTE and National Grid publish the results of these auctions.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction France-England was awarded, i.e. 150 MW for an average price of 9,526.33 Euros/MW.quarter. In total 11 participants submitted bids.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction England-France was awarded, i.e. 150 MW for an average price of 891.50 Euros/MW.quarter. In total 8 participants submitted bids.
