France-England interconnection: results of the monthly auctions

Results of the monthly auctions organised by RTE and National Grid : 150 MW proposed in the direction France to England, and 150 MW proposed in the direction England to France.

As part of the process for the allocation of 2000 MW of interconnector capacity in the direction France-England and England-France, RTE and National Grid held an monthly auction on 6st May 2009 for June 2009.

Today, 6st May 2009 RTE and National Grid publish the results of these auctions.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction France-England was awarded, i.e. 150 MW for an average price of 2,257.83 Euros/MW.month. In total 11 participants submitted bids.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction England-France was awarded, i.e. 150 MW for an average price of 272.33 Euros/MW.month. In total 7 participants submitted bids.
