Running High Voltage substation Initial training
Regulations require electrical operations to be performed by...
Regulations require electrical operations to be performed by qualified personnel (standard UTE C18510). Personnel are required to take a course of training, at the end of which their employer will issue official qualification for electrical risks.
Following an individual appraisal of expertise in the field of HVB installations, the initial training offered by RTE leads to an aptitude assessment for each trainee.
This aptitude assessment is similar to that used for RTE staff and guarantees the client high quality training for its own electricians.
RTE recommends regular retraining of personnel every 3 to 4 years.

the various topics linked to the use of electricity system interconnections from RTE's top experts !
The intensification of electricity exchanges within Europe reflects the development of a genuine electricity market and also heavily influences the daily activities of power transmission system operators. RTE meets the expectations and requirements of electricity market players by adapting and harmonizing the interconnection capacities allocation mechanisms between France and its neighbouring countries. Obviously, this must be done while ensuring, in parallel, the correct operation of the French and European electrical systems.
