France-England interconnection: results of the annual auctions.

Results of the annual auctions organised by RTE and National Grid : 275 MW proposed in the direction France to England, and 275 MW proposed in the direction England to France.

As part of the process for the allocation of 2000 MW of interconnector capacity in the direction France-England and England-France, RTE and National Grid held an annual auction on 27th November 2008 for year 2009.

Today, 27th November 2008 RTE and National Grid publish the results of these auctions.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction France-England was awarded, i.e. 275 MW for an average price of 41 672.82 Euros/MW.year. In total 12 participants submitted bids.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction England-France was awarded, i.e. 275 MW for an average price of 33 336.36 Euros/MW.year. In total 16 participants submitted bids.
