France-England interconnection: results of the monthly auctions.

Results of the monthly auctions organised by RTE and National Grid : 125 MW proposed in the direction France to England, and 125 MW proposed in the direction England to France.

As part of the process for the allocation of 2000 MW of interconnector capacity in the direction France-England and England-France, RTE and National Grid held an monthly auction on 18th December 2008 for JANUARY 2009.

Today, 18th December 2008 RTE and National Grid publish the results of these auctions.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction France-England was awarded, i.e. 125 MW for an average price of 1,593.00Euros/MW.month. In total 10 participants submitted bids.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction England-France was awarded, i.e. 125 MW for an average price of 1,713.80 Euros/MW.month. In total 9 participants submitted bids.
