France-England interconnection: results of the seasonal auctions.

Results of the seasonal auctions (Winter 2009-2010) organised by RTE and National Grid : 150 MW proposed in the direction France to England, and 150 MW proposed in the direction England to France.

As part of the process for the allocation of 2000 MW of interconnector capacity in the direction France-England and England-France, RTE and National Grid held an auction on 8th September 2009 for Winter 2009-2010 (from 1st October 2009 to 31st March 2010).

On 8th September 2009, RTE and National Grid published the results of these auctions.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction France-England was awarded, i.e. 150 for an average price of 3,231.83 Euros/MW.season. In total 10 participants submitted bids.

All of the capacity proposed in the direction England-France was awarded, i.e. 150 for an average price of 38,463.70 Euros/MW.season. In total 10 participants submitted bids.
