The intensification of electricity exchanges within Europe reflects the development of a genuine electricity market and also heavily influences the daily activities of power transmission system operators. RTE meets the expectations and requirements of electricity market players by adapting and harmonizing the interconnection capacities allocation mechanisms between France and its neighbouring countries. Obviously, this must be done while ensuring, in parallel, the correct operation of the French and European electrical systems.
